‘If we love one another God dwelleth in us and his love is perfected in us’
1 John 4:12
Following All Saints' Primary and Needwood Primary joining together as a hard Federation pupils, staff, parents and Governors worked together to identify and agree a set of core principals under The Forest Federation slogan ‘Hand in hand we love, learn and achieve’. From this we designed a statement that encompasses our vision:
‘Our Federation inspires confident, enthusiastic, high achieving, lifelong learners within a loving Christian community.’
Children, Staff, Parents and Governors were able to express in words what our school stood for, considering the Christian perspective. These were designed and became our Forest Federation Values tree.
The ‘Fruits of the Spirit’ from Galatians 5:22 also form our character traits and are rooted in the Christian values that we expect from all members of our community.
Our Forest Federation Tree is a reminder of the positive expectations we have of all of our school family and our collective responsibility in establishing and maintaining our Distinctive Christian Character. As such, through collective worship and class worship we regularly explore the underlying Christian values, which influence the way in which our day-to-day conduct embodies the Federation and School ethos.
The link between our schools within the Federation and our Christian values as a community is best reflected in the values tree.
