Hockey Tournament March 2016

Year 3 and 4 hockey

On Friday 11th March our 2, year 3 and 4 teams took part in the hockey tournament at Shobnall.

Our A team played 4 games in the group stages and won all of their games which meant they went through to the quarter finals as the top team in our group. They all played fantastically well in all of the games and played really well as a team.

Our B team also played 4 games in the group stages, winning 1, drawing 2 and loosing 1. Again the team played really well together and encouraged each other well.

Both of our teams got through to the quarter finals. The A team playing John Of Rolleston, which we won 1-0 to progress through to the semi finals. Our B team played against Shobnall A. They did loose this game but they created a number of chances but were unable to score. They should be very proud of their achievements for their first hockey tournament. Our A team then played Shobnall in the Semi-finals. The game finished 0-0 so we had to have penalty shuffles. We did loose this but the team were brilliant throughout the games.
